Ted Guillory
Class of 1958
 

Ted Guillory, a 1958 graduate of Menard Memorial High School, went on to earn a degree in mechanical engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He made his mark in history as the lead flight planner for NASA’s Apollo 8 and Apollo 11 missions, two of the most significant milestones in space exploration.

 

His work on Apollo 8, the first manned flight around the moon, and Apollo 11, the first mission to land humans on the moon, played a crucial role in these groundbreaking achievements. Ted's exceptional contributions to the world through his career with NASA and to the Apollo program have made him an iconic figure in space history.

 

As a member of the inaugural class of Distinguished Alumni at Holy Savior Menard, Ted’s career exemplifies innovation, dedication, and a legacy that continues to inspire future generations.
